Ruby Nelson

Ruby grew up in remote Australia, her family having created the cowgirl’s dream – living on acreage, animals by her side, growing produce and selling to the local food market. Ruby left home at the young age of 16, travelling to the far side of Australia to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture – majoring in Agribusiness and Cropping. Since completing her studies, Ruby endured living her best nomad life; living overseas, exploring and working. Kitesurfing was introduced into Ruby’s life in early 2023, after moving to a small windy town on the west coast of Australia. Since, Ruby has dove deep into progressing on the water, having competed only 8 months into her kiting career, competing in multiple Big Air National events, organising local wind events and travelling around the world to teach progressive sessions.
