Biography

Andrew grew up in Montreal, Canada, where he spent much of his free time outdoors and on the water. He started kayaking on the Rouge River and quickly developed a passion for whitewater. In addition to paddling, Andrew enjoys backcountry skiing, and wilderness expeditions and loves sharing his passion for the sport with others.

He moved to Québec City to study accounting at Laval University and decided to stay for the incredible rivers the region has to offer. After completing both his bachelor’s degree and advanced graduate studies in accounting, he became a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and worked for an accounting firm, focusing on audits, tax planning, and advising small businesses and cooperatives. But over time, he realized that becoming a teacher would be a better match for his love of the outdoors and desire to work more closely with people.

In 2025, Andrew joined World Class Academy, where he teaches AP Statistics and Government/Economics. For him, WCA is the perfect blend of academics, adventure, and community.

Fun factAndrew was featured on the Québec TV show Expédition Kayak, where he and a crew completed several first descents on remote rivers across the province.
