Biography

Bella grew up in Petaluma, CA, and learned to kayak on the rivers in the western US. She spent five summers teaching kayaking on the Snake River, which grew her love of teaching youth and watching them progress and develop their relationship with the river. She has also taught a semester for World Class at Paddle Tribal Waters Academy where she coached kayaking. They spent the semester kayaking on rivers in Chile and in the PNW.

Bella earned a bachelor’s in science from Fort lewis college in Durango, Colorado. She majored in Environmental Science and minored in Chemistry. During her time at school, she was a tutor for chemistry and computer programming.

Last spring, Bella taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Hydrology in her first semester with World Class. She is so excited to be back at World Class and to return to Chile rivers with the Kayak Academy.
