Nicole Mansfield

Growing up in Buffalo, NY, Nicole was introduced to whitewater kayaking while fulfilling a PE requirement at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. There, she quickly fell in love with the sport while earning double B.A.s in Environmental Science and Engineering. Since graduating in 2005, Nicole has traveled and worked in numerous places throughout the US and abroad, pursuing her passions for whitewater kayaking and skiing. Enjoying all aspects of the sport, both playboating and river running, her preference is for extended multi-day river trips, and in 2013, she moved to the Columbia River Gorge to establish a home base that offered year-round access to quality rivers. Nicole started working for Kayak Academy during the 2016/17 school year, teaching math and science, and feeding everyone burritos.

Now, Nicole is one of our most veteran teachers and has made the switch over to the MTB Academy. Nicole loves the adventure and cardiovascular exercise that comes with riding bikes. She brings her signature teaching style to a whole new school and a whole new list of destinations.
