TCA 2025 Summer Camp
Maple Canyon
JULY 13 - JULY 19
Location: Maple Canyon, Utah
Costs: $1800.00
Course Overview:
Maple Canyon, a narrow canyon in the San Pitch mountain range, is centrally located in Utah state. Maple is one of the most unique sport climbing destinations in the world due to its conglomerate formations, boasting a plethora of rock climbing for all abilities, from 5.8 to 5.14. Routes offer a range of styles from long and pumpy to short, powerful, and bouldery.
Athletes should have a strong foundation of leading up to 5.11a prior to attendance to truly enjoy the opportunities of this week long experience. Coaches will provide specific instructional support for athletes looking to work on their red-pointing skills within the realm of outside climbing while addressing proper safety practices. Maple's unique style of climbing provides opportunities for athletes to work specifically on body positioning and core strengthening in order to move through the overhanging cobblestone routes in the canyon.
For accommodations, athletes will be staying within a 30 minute drive of the canyon, in a nearby town outside of Maple. While there, the team can engage in experiential learning activities, practice group cooking, and complete restorative workouts on rest days.
