She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences – Sociology, with a focus on culture and identity, and a Master’s in Urban Studies. Her master’s thesis examined youth-police dynamics in Brussels, reflecting a deep commitment to social justice and inclusive communities.

Before joining World Class, Anabel taught English and Dutch at a high school in Brussels during the 2023–2024 academic year. Fluent in four languages, she brings a global lens to her teaching and communication, always aiming to create inclusive and dynamic learning spaces.

Anabel has been climbing for 13 years and loves the adventure, community, and deep friendships that the sport fosters. She brings a thoughtful lens to climbing, particularly as it relates to the experiences of (young) women, and encourages students to think critically both in and out of the classroom. As both an academic and an activist, she is dedicated to building inclusive environments through theory, research, and lived practice.

At World Class, she is committed to guiding students in shaping strong, empathetic, and grounded ideas to engage with the world.
