Tash Harvey grew up in Banff, Alberta, where cross-country ski racing shaped her love for endurance, grit, and the outdoors. Exploring remote terrain has always been her favorite way to move through the world, so what began as cross-training for ski season eventually turned into her greatest passion: mountain biking. Today, Tash combines her love for adventure with her dedication to youth development as a coach and educator.

After years of working in remote backcountry lodges, where she learned the art of creating comfort in wild places, Tash shifted her focus to education. For the past five years, she has taught in Squamish, British Columbia, where outdoor education is a cornerstone of her work. Leading students on multi-day backpacking trips and fostering resilience, teamwork, and curiosity is a highlight of her teaching practice.

In addition to teaching, Tash coaches the Squamish Nation Indigenous Mountain Bike Team and the high school mountain bike team. When she’s not teaching or coaching, you’ll likely find her chasing alpine singletrack, planning her next big adventure, or sketching her favourite views. Tash is excited for her first year with World Class Academy, and will be teaching Environmental Science, World Literature, and Geometry.
