COVID-19 UPDATE

World Class Academy continues to closely monitor the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. As students, families, teachers, classrooms, and communities around the world continue to be affected, we stand by our commitment to provide engaging learning opportunities while mitigating the risks that are inherent with global travel.

We are running programs in person while adhering to our COVID-19 protocols. Our protocols are designed to minimize the risk of exposure and transmission among our group and the communities we visit. We are accepting master applications for the 2021-2022 school year and encourage students to apply. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to reach out with questions about our COVID-19 protocols or other details about our programs.

B.A. in Geography: Geographic Information Systems – University of Washington

At the age of sixteen, Marleigh joined the World Class Kayak program. She explored the cold, big volume rivers of Canada and the warm, jungle side rivers of Ecuador and Peru, while completing her high school education. After graduating from World Class, Marleigh attended college at the University of Washington in Seattle. She continued to paddle and climb, while pursuing her studies in Geographic Information Systems. Marleigh made the official move down to White Salmon in 2019, where she had worked teaching kayaking and leading trips for many summers previously. With a really valuable perspective and understanding of the program, Marleigh is excited to be a part of the administration team.
