Sarina Chalmers grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She gained a love of the outdoors in the Appalachian Mountains of the Southeast where she was introduced to kayaking by her father. Sarina earned her B.A. in Organismal Biology and Ecology from Colorado College where she competed for the school’s mountain biking team and paddled as much as possible. Each summer during college Sarina taught for the kayak school at Rendezvous River Sports in Jackson, Wyoming. It was at Rendezvous that Sarina developed a passion for teaching and for taking people down new rivers.

In 2020 Sarina moved to White Salmon, Washington where she could go kayaking every day. Sarina worked in the physical therapy department of a local hospital but craved more variety and creativity in her life. Enter World Class Academy. Sarina is thrilled to embrace the World Class agenda of having it all every day. When she is not kayaking, Sarina can be found mountain biking, cooking, or sewing flat-brim skull caps for her recent start-up company – Nobdody.
