Ally originally comes from Colorado where she developed her passion for recreating in the mountains. The 2021-22 school year was her first year teaching at WCA, but now she is one of the school’s veteran teachers/coaches. Before working for the school, Ally raced cross country for eight years. She began riding in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and had the privilege to race for the University of Colorado Boulder for four years. An experienced competitor, Ally has raced traditional cross-country and enduro, long distance races, specializing in distances between thirty and a hundred miles. Ally coached high school cross-country racers for several years, focusing on nutrition, endurance, and race strategy and technique. Now, Ally loves enduro riding, bike parks, and dirt jumps where she has a new found passion for steeper trails and catching air.
Ally has a dual degree in Creative Writing and Creative Technology and Design Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. She spent the last few years before WCA working as a graphic designer and a freelance front-end web developer for local non-profits, startups, and research labs. Ally loves to share her passion for computer science and visual and written communication with her students at World Class Academy MTB.
