Cole Moore hails from Cabin John, Maryland. Growing up on the banks of
the Potomac River gave Cole the perfect setting to start out his
kayaking career. Motivated by his father, Cole first got in a kayak at
age 10. He was soon hooked and began to train in slalom every day
until the age of 18. He made the US slalom team when he was 16 and
spent the next 3 years dedicated to racing around the world.
Whilst attending the University of Colorado to study his Bachelors in
Mechanical Engineering, Cole discovered the joys of creek boating and
has not looked back since. His passion for kayaking has taken him
across South America, Mexico, Canada, and Alaska. Whilst in the US,
Cole bases himself between the whitewater meccas of Banks, Idaho and
White Salmon, Washington.
Cole joined the World Class Academy team in April 2019 and teaches the
AP Calculus and AP Physics classes. Cole is a great addition to the
World Class family and brings great energy and stoke to every part of
WCA, from academics to morning workout, group activities and, of
course, kayaking.
