B.S in Applied Physics — University of Utah
I was born and raised in Boise, ID. My parents fostered a love of the outdoors from a young age through camping and skiing. My life took an abrupt turn when I got belay certified at a local climbing gym. After spending a couple of years as a youth competitor, I switched my focus to climbing outdoors.
Eventually, my love of climbing took me to Salt Lake City to attend school at the University of Utah. While in school I learned the importance of balance as I pursued a degree in applied physics while trying to spend as much time climbing outdoors as possible. When I graduated in 2018, I decided to continue working in the climbing industry as a career.
As a coach and a route setter, It has always been my goal to make climbing accessible and fun for everyone. Working at The Climbing Academy is the next step in this for me. I’m so happy to be able to use everything I’ve learned working in gyms to help kids push themselves outdoors.
