Merle Mönster

Merle grew up in Hamburg, Germany, where her passion for windsurfing and kitesurfing was sparked early on by her family. In 2017, she became part of the Duotone Kiteboarding & ION team. Since then, she has competed in many national championships and in the GKA Freestyle World Cup in Taiba. Her journey as a qualified kitesurf and SUP instructor took her all around the world, nurturing both her personal development and her love of adventure. After completing her bachelor’s degree at the German Sport University in Cologne, Merle moved to Innsbruck, where she earned a master’s degree in Sport Science with a focus on coaching programs in elite sports. Her thesis was titled “A Training Concept for Performance-Oriented Kitesurfers in the Disciplines of Hydrofoil Racing and Freestyle.” Merle thrives on an active life outdoors whenever possible, whether it’s on a kiteboard, snowboard, skateboard, or surfboard – even better when it’s shared with family and friends. At World Class, she aims to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, on the water and in the classroom.
