World Class Academy continues to closely monitor the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. As students, families, teachers, classrooms, and communities around the world continue to be affected, we stand by our commitment to provide engaging learning opportunities while mitigating the risks that are inherent with global travel.

We are running programs in person while adhering to our COVID-19 protocols. Our protocols are designed to minimize the risk of exposure and transmission among our group and the communities we visit. We are accepting master applications for the 2021-2022 school year and encourage students to apply. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to reach out with questions about our COVID-19 protocols or other details about our programs.

World Class Kiteboard Academy is excited to bring a junior comp to our backyard. The competition is open to all junior riders age 20 and younger. Join us!

Key Information

  • Who - Open to all junior kiteboarders age 20 and under.

    Competition classes will be divided into four categories: Boys U21, Boys U15, Girls U21, Girls U15 *These age categories may shift based on registration numbers. We hope to have strong numbers in all age classes and will consider opening up a younger (U13) age category as well.

  • What - A freestyle and park competition

  • When - July 18 - 21, 2019.

    The Hood River Junior Jam will be a 2-day event -- one day of freestyle and one day of park competition. The competition window extends over a 4-day period to give the best opportunity to hold the competition when wind and weather conditions are ideal.

  • Where - Hood River sandbar

  • Why - To give young riders a fun, competitive environment where they can face off against their peers.

  • Grand prize - The top finisher in the Boys U21 and Girls U21 park competition will earn an invitation to the 2019 Hood Jam IF the Hood Jam organizing committee determines that the riders can compete safely and on an even playing field with the KPL competitors.

This is a grassroots event that's all about the juniors. All the money raised through sponsorship and entry fees will be used to cover the cost of the competition.
