Bowl of Food Recipe
- Ingredients:
- Grain: rice, quinoa, cous cous, the sky’s the limit!
- Vegetables: peppers, onions, sweet potatoes, broccoli, brussels sprouts – you could your own adventure!
- Protein: tofu, chicken, ground beef, seitan, tempeh
- Seasonings
- Toppings: mayo, hot sauce, seasoning salt, etc.
- Steps:
- Prepare your ingredients. Chop your vegetables; chop protein, if necessary
- Set a pot of water on the stove to heat for the grain and heat the water over high heat. Follow the instructions for that grain to cook.
- While the grain is cooking, sauté vegetables with desired seasonings such as salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic.
- Cook the meat in another pan with desired seasonings.
- Craft your bowl of food – grain, veggies, and protein.
- Top with desired seasonings such as mayo, hot sauce, sour cream – anything you can dream of!
