Rebecca, a new TCA team member, hails from the breathtaking landscapes of Squamish, British Columbia. After completing her undergraduate degree, she found her calling in the world of Alpine climbing, a passion that has profoundly shaped every aspect of her life. From her bookshelves to where she lives, climbing has not only captured her heart but also built her community and career path. Now, she’s excited to share her love for both climbing and education with our staff and students.

Beyond climbing, Rebecca has earned an undergraduate degree in International Development from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of British Columbia. Her commitment to teaching and education is unwavering. For the past few years, she has been an integral part of a private high school in Squamish that emphasizes experiential-based learning. In this role, she developed high-level programming both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s creating innovative courses or leading students on awe-inspiring canoe trips down the Yukon River, Rebecca is dedicated to providing transformative educational experiences.

Rebecca’s driving force in both education and outdoor recreation is inclusivity. She firmly believes in ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported, regardless of their background or abilities. Her infectious positivity and genuine care for others makes her feel like a ray of sunshine. With her diverse lived experiences and passion for the outdoors, Rebecca is thrilled to embark on this new chapter, bringing her unique blend of knowledge and enthusiasm to The Climbing Academy.
